Delicate Workings of Winter- Michael Erickson

Minuscule forms trace radiating lines

Dancing upon a web of glistening ice.

Constantly tracing across a world so silent,

While winter breathes a silent song.

And puffs of glistening snow wheel round,

Framing the world in sapphire and pearls.

One can get so lost in the harshness of a season,

Better to take in each moment as they pass.

Float with the cloud and glide with each flake.

Before the heat of summer burns away,

The delicate workings of winter.
