Tuesday Writing Prompt Challenge–June 9, 2020

Devereaux Frazier and Beth Amanda are currently hosting the Tuesday Writing Prompt Challenge which was started by our star writer Christine Ray. We hope to offer all of you something that will spark your creativity and willingness to participate.
The prompts are designed to be quick challenges that can be written in 10 to 15 minutes,  inspire you creatively, are fun, and get everyone interacting.  Please post your response to the prompt in the comments below and show your fellow posters some love and support.  All members of the Go Dog Go community, including Baristas, are welcome to participate.  Feel free to share this post on your own blogs and/or Facebook.

  1. First time participating in a prompt here, I hope you enjoy my piece. 🙂

    has died,
    beautiful dreamer;
    the sea is a language
    of loneliness,
    legs struck in the waves
    to the break
    of oaks
    and I finally arrived
    to the holes
    in the ocean,
    to in a dream
    I’ve left behind.

  6. I’m not sure if the first reply posted, so decided this way instead. Please delete if duplicated!

    Emma
    Her loose white cotton gown
    Catches the wheat bush
As it whisks in the wind.
    Her bare feet dance
through the dry soil of the field.
Quick as the wind, her legs carry her
    and her addictive laughter
    echoes through the valley.
Auburn curls catching in the wind,
    Bouncing from her shoulders
Like butterfly wings as she sings
    Made up songs of joy.
    She goes by Emma Ophelia
    But only in my dreams.
Beautiful dreams of a baby girl
I hope to carry some day.
    Some day.
    Hopefully, some day.
