Hi my favourite day again. Still bashing out no way nursery rhymes. This weeks offering is ‘inspired’ by events in US and repercussions around the world. Little Polly Flinders is ‘Sad among the cinders’.

A burning finale Andrew…..
“Little Polly Flinders
Sad among the cinders
Watches conflagration grow
Cries in consternation
So sad for her nation
Tearful as the bonfires grow.”

Hi Ivor,
Thanks very much for your kind words. I am glad that my poem, or rather the feeling I tried to convey, resonated with you.
The Moody Blues…very nice indeed. I am blessed to have seen them live once during my 20 year stay in the US. They played with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and it was amazing!!
I look forward to checking out your blog. Have a fantastic day,
Claudia

It is truly a beautiful piece, and it resonates with me. Perhaps a bit too much.
It is raw, heartbreaking, and vulnerable too. I was more than happy to post it especially as I’m sure it will connect to others just as well as it did with me. ❤️
