And in the early morning, I wait
Tendrils of light sweetly coax promises
from darkened skies
I watch shadows transform
Glittering dust dances in the corners of my mind
I am humbled by possibilities
My body is quiet as I consider
vanishing years and all that is made of mist
I float over daring seas
No longer lingering on an island of despair
I choose the promise that is mine
and murmur words of thanksgiving
I embroider intentions on my weary soul
and face the day with a smile
Patience, if given a chance, is a just reward

This stanza particularly resonated with me. Lovely the promise you feel in this writing.
