Gentleman in Waiting – Eric (EDC Writing)

Never handsome

yet had something

his few all head turners

naive blushed easy

kissed gentle no tongue

held hands never groping

none kept him for long

college bus heard whispers

he the slow one kind though

the one they said “I wouldn’t marry”

one kept to herself “I will one day”

This the first poem I posted on my blog http://www.believingsightunseen.com – a candidate for publication in EDC Shorts – a collection of my lines and poetry.

    • its like the stories we read when we were younger, it seems there was so much we misunderstood then or even misinterpret now than our perception before. the mind is a labyrinth that the heart can never quite level up to. its’s empathy truthfully.
