Never handsome
yet had something
his few all head turners
naive blushed easy
kissed gentle no tongue
held hands never groping
none kept him for long
college bus heard whispers
he the slow one kind though
the one they said “I wouldn’t marry”
one kept to herself “I will one day”

This the first poem I posted on my blog http://www.believingsightunseen.com – a candidate for publication in EDC Shorts – a collection of my lines and poetry.

Thank you G – I changed one word from the original which somehow made it fresh and work for me … and as you asked yesterday I left a line for you in ‘ Promote Yourself’ comments…Eric

it is always that something that makes a girl’s heart go thump, and its not in how the body or face looks but what he does with that body. I loved this romantic notion.

Thank you Gina – I used to do a daily 60 mile round trip to college in my teens and heard a few things that stuck…

you are very observant and I am feeling rather emphatic too, all traits of a really good writer Eric.

It’s quite a strange thing – the things you remember – how they once felt – how they do now now you know yourself – at least more than you once did…

its like the stories we read when we were younger, it seems there was so much we misunderstood then or even misinterpret now than our perception before. the mind is a labyrinth that the heart can never quite level up to. its’s empathy truthfully.
