By Charles Robert Lindholm
I only have my words
to show you
the dreams
that I can see,
the wondrous colors
and shapes,
the future
and what will be,
happiness, love,
justice and equality
I am not a painter
who can portray
the things I see,
I am not a photographer
who can capture
an image of reverie,
I am no sculptor
to create what I can feel
in reality
because
I only have my words
but words
have power
and magic
and majesty
and beauty
They can heal
heartaches
bring you joy
and help
blind eyes see
the beauty of life
and love
and trust
in eternity
I only have my words
and I have not
etched them in stone
instead I have
etched them
on your soul
with ink on paper
I only have my words
and I hope they are
enough

Thank you so much for your great comment. Sometimes that’s all we have, but most of the time it is enough??
